On December 24, 2022, the annual meeting of the Guangdong Economic Association and Lingnan Economic Forum in 2022, sponsored by the Guangdong Economic Association and hosted by the School of Economics and Management of South China Normal University and the South China Market Economy Research Center, was successfully held. More than 100 experts and scholars from more than 30 universities including Zhejiang University, Jilin University, Beijing Normal University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Jinan University, South China Agricultural University, South China Normal University, and other well-known journals such as Academic Research, South China Economics, and Guangdong Social Sciences, We will jointly discuss how to give full play to the scale advantage of a large country, promote the construction of a unified national market and build a new development pattern under the guidance of the spirit of the report of the 20th CPC National Congress.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Comrade Zhong Chengcai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of South China Normal University, and Comrade Luo Biliang, President of the Guangdong Economic Society and Senior Professor of Liberal Arts of South China Agricultural University, delivered speeches successively. In the keynote speech of the conference, Professor Li Xiao of Jilin University, Professor Li Shi of Zhejiang University, Professor Luo Biliang of South China Agricultural University, and Associate Researcher Zhang Tianhua of South China Normal University respectively discussed "The evolution of the international monetary system in the era of geopolitical conflict: dilemma and way out", "comprehensively deepen the reform of income distribution system", "rice theory: paradox and its explanation" A wonderful speech was made on the theme of "industrial policy, resource allocation and enterprise size distribution". At the group paper report and discussion stage held in the afternoon, 55 authors of the papers selected for this annual meeting shared their latest academic research results in 11 parallel forums, and the representatives at the meeting met with each other through in-depth discussions and ideological exchanges.

On the eve of this annual meeting, Professor Luo Biliang, president of the Guangdong Economic Association, and Professor Peng Biyu, president of the School of Economics and Management of South China Normal University, jointly hosted the Dean's Fellowship and the Council of the Association of the School of Economics and Management of Guangdong University on the afternoon of December 23, Professor Huang Xinfei, dean of the School of International Finance of Sun Yat-sen University, introduced the experience of scientific research and education work of "Building an innovative system of scientific research and education with four objectives covering all" at the meeting. The leaders of the economic and management colleges of Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Jinan University, South China Agricultural University, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, Guangzhou University, Guangdong Ocean University, Foshan University of Science and Technology, South China Normal University and other units also shared their experience in scientific research and education in combination with the specific practices of their respective schools, and conducted in-depth exchanges on how to further improve the training of economic and management talents in the new era. Professor Luo Mingzhong, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Economic Association, briefed and introduced the main work of the Association in 2022 and its work plan in 2023.

This meeting is an academic discussion carried out by Guangdong economic circles to study and implement the Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Accelerating the Construction of a National Unified Market under the guidance of the spirit of the report of the 20th CPC National Congress. It is also a practical action of Guangdong economic circles to actively study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, which will strongly promote our teachers to integrate the spirit of the report of the 20th CPC National Congress into teaching and research work.
